Do you need a vignette to reach Subotica?
The Hungarian motorway vignette only covers the Hungarian section of your route. Once you cross into Serbia, a completely different toll or vignette system takes over — OptimÚt calculates the Hungarian leg for you, up to the border.
Border crossing
Via Tompa (53-as / 55-ös főút): This cost/time covers the route to Tompa (the Hungarian-Serbian border, via roads 53/55) only — Subotica is about another 10 km from there. The final stretch is an ordinary road, so a Hungarian vignette is often not even required here.
How to calculate it
