Do you need a vignette to reach Oradea?
The Hungarian motorway vignette only covers the Hungarian section of your route. Once you cross into Romania, a completely different toll or vignette system takes over — OptimÚt calculates the Hungarian leg for you, up to the border.
Border crossing options
Via Nagykereki (M4): This cost/time covers the route to Nagykereki (the Hungarian-Romanian border, M4 motorway) only — Oradea is about another 20 km from there, where Romanian tolls (rovinieta) apply.
Via Ártánd (42-es főút (E60, Bors)): This cost/time covers the route to Ártánd (the Hungarian-Romanian border, via road 42 towards Bors) only — Oradea is only about 12 km from there, where Romanian tolls (rovinieta) apply. This is the historical, pre-2020 main crossing — an alternative to the Nagykereki/M4 motorway above; not a motorway itself, but still a major route (part of the E60).
